Story 01 1. Warping
Find the number of yarns of yarn and ground yarn according to the pattern, and wind it in a large frame.
Story 02 2. Threading (refining)
Strengthen the yarn and boil for about 2 hours with caustic soda water to remove impurities.
Story 02 3. Handwrapped
We wrap the warp so as not to dye the dye according to the pattern. It is a skilled work.
Story 02 4. Indigo dye
Dye it well after soaking it in water. Immediately dipping the Ainu glue from light color to dark color.
Story 02 5. Disintegration / Drying
I will solve the coarse handedness. Thread color will appear.
Story 02 6. Slide in
When dyeing other than thread color and dyeing is necessary, we will dye it manually.
Story 02 7. Drying
Fix the color by steaming, then dry.
Story 02 8. Scroll
While watching the pattern of the warp we will wind it around the thread box.
Story 02 9. Weak
Roll up and win 20 tongues (flat weaves wrapped) side by side.
Story 02 10. Machine weaving
Weave with warp and weft machine that has been used carefully for over 100 years.
Kasuri weave in one day is about 20 meters
